2. PRINTER ERRORS
When you open the printer cover, a message appears on the unit’s display:
IF NEW TONER
CHANGE GAUGE
This message reminds you that you should change the gauge when you replace the printer toner cartridge.
PAPER EMPTY
Insert more paper into the paper tray.
CHANGE TONER
The TONER icon at the top of the display is lit.
1)
TONER out: change the toner cartridge and gauge.
2)
Missing toner cartridge: insert the toner cartridge into place.
Note:
The TONER icon will start to flash when the TONER is low.
PAPER JAM
The PAPER JAM icon flashes at the top of the display.
1- Open the cover housing the scanning assembly by
simultaneously pressing on the buttons located on either
side.
Wait a few minutes for the heat elements to cool down.
Remove the toner cartridge and photosensitive drum.
2- Hold the toothed wheel (A) and turn it in the
direction shown

3- Un-jam the sheet of paper completely towards
the back by turning the toothed wheel (A).
INVALID GAUGE
The ON icon is flashing red. Install the toner gauge (see the Installing the gauge paragraph), or check whether
the gauge installed is working.
CHECK PRINTER: XY
Open and close the cover housing the scanning assembly. If the error persists, contact SAGEM’s maintenance
department.
CHECK PAPER
Reload paper into the paper tray (see the INSTALLATION chapter).
3. MISCELLANEOUS FAULTS
The display stays blank when the unit is powered up.
Check that the mains cord is properly plugged in and check the mains socket.
The fax machine fails to detect the document you have inserted. The “READY” message is not displayed.
The display shows “REMOVE DOCUMENT” just before or during scanning and the ON indicator is red.
Remove the document or press STOP.
Check that the document is not too thick (30 sheets of 80 g/m2 paper).
Split the document up if required.
Ensure the document stack is properly fed in.
