4. FAX BROADCASTING
The fax broadcast facility enables you to send a document out to several subscribers at once (by fax or over the
Internet).
Note:
The fax machine must be set to Send from Memory (see the SETTINGS chapter).
Place the document in the fax machine’s scanner feeder.
Dial the fax number or key in the name of the first subscriber.
Notes:
- By pressing the DIRECTORY
key, you can rapidly access the quick-dial number or one-touch dial
key of a subscriber or broadcast list.
- By pressing the REDIAL key, you can access the last 10 numbers dialled.
Press the BROADCAST
key to enter the next subscriber’s quick-dial number.
Key in the second subscriber’s quick-dial number.
Repeat the procedure for all the subscribers (whether fax or Internet-based) or broadcast lists to which you
want to send the document (up to 10 subscribers).
Press on the FAX/COPY or INTERNET keys.
5. STOPPING A TRANSMISSION IN PROGRESS
To stop a transmission in progress:
Press on STOP. The fax machine will prompt you to press STOP again to confirm.
Press STOP again to confirm your instruction to abort the transmission.
Notes:
- In the case of a fax transmitted from memory to a single subscriber, the document is erased from memory.
- In the case of a fax transmitted to several subscribers, only the current subscriber at the time the STOP button
is pressed is removed from the transmit queue.
- If the transmission report parameter is set to anything but OFF, the fax machine will print out a
transmission report indicating that the operator aborted the fax’s transmission.
