1. If needed, use the
netcon
(1M) window to log in to the domain as superuser.
2. Create the
ntp.conf
file in your text editor.
3. Edit the file so that it resembles the following example.
Each domain should use the SSP as its source for time, and the SSP should use at
least two other sources, besides its internal clock, to avoid a single point of failure in
case the SSP’s clock fails. For more information about NTP commands, refer to the
ntp
(1M) man page in the man Pages(1M): System Administration Commands section of
the Solaris Administration AnswerBook2 Collection.
You are done configuring the NTP packages. You can now finish the fresh install, as
described in the following section.
