Alternate Pathing 2.2 on the Sun
Enterprise 3x00, 4x00, 5x00, and
6x00 Servers
This chapter contains fresh install and upgrade instructions for Alternate Pathing
(AP) 2.2. With the introduction of AP 2.2, both the fresh install instructions and the
upgrade instructions now apply to the Sun Enterprise™ 3x00, 4x00, 5x00, and 6x00
servers.
Performing a Fresh Install of AP
The fresh install instructions in this section are for environments where AP is not
currently installed and configured. If any version of AP is currently installed and
configured, you can use the instructions in “Performing an Upgrade of AP” on
page 128. That procedure uses scripts that save your current AP configuration, and
then restore that configuration after you install the AP 2.2 packages.
Caution – The installation instructions in this section assume that you have already
installed the Solaris 7 11/99 operating environment. You must do so before you
attempt to install AP 2.2.
