Alternate Pathing 2.2 on the Sun
Enterprise 10000 Server
This chapter contains fresh install and upgrade instructions for Alternate Pathing
(AP) 2.2 on the Sun Enterprise™ 10000 server.
Performing a Fresh Install of AP
The AP 2.2 release includes one package that must be installed on the SSP and a set
of core packages that must be installed on the Sun Enterprise 10000 domain.
The fresh install instructions in this section are for environments where AP is not
currently installed and configured. If any version of AP is currently installed and
configured, you can use the instructions in “Performing an Upgrade of AP” on
page 146. That procedure uses scripts that save your current AP configuration, and
then restore that configuration after you install the AP 2.2 packages.
Caution –
The installation instructions in this section assume that you have already
installed the Solaris 7 11/99 operating environment. You must do so before you
attempt to install AP 2.2.
