Removing the Gyrosphere Container from the Compass Housing 5-5
10. Put both hands around the container and lift it up, so that the cou-
pling tongues disengage from their seats in the bayonet.
13. Carefully remove the container from the housing and remove it,
while holding it closely with both hands, to its storage location.
14. At the storage location, carefully place the container into its original
transport box or another suitable outer package.
15. Clearly label the packaged container and store it safely in an upright
position, making sure that it cannot be moved, tilted or subjected to
shock.
8. Unplug the gyrosphere supply and
pick off connector from its socket
on the pick off PCB.
9. Turn the bellows, until the largest
of the three coupling seats in the
bayonet collar points towards the
front of the housing.
Note The largest of the three coupling seats is marked by a green dot on the
collar.
11. While supporting the container
with both palms,
push it slightly forward,
put the thumbs on the rim of the
collar,
pull down on it and turn it to the
left.
12. Gently lower the container. The
coupling tongues slide down in
the grooves of the bayonet and the
container is released from the col-
lar.
