WARMSTART CONTAINER
Initiates a reset (warm start) of the NAVIGAT 100 gyrosphere container
software. All volatile values stored in the container, including the current
heading are reset and initial self checks are performed. If the compass
has been already aligned before, the heading becomes immediately
valid after these tests without starting a new alignment.
The warm start of the gyrosphere container is equivalent to a system
cold start with the difference that the mainboard controller for the sys-
tem power-up is cycled, resulting in a significant shorter settling time of
the NAVIGAT 100
system.
SERVICE IN: (Remaining Time until next Service)
The remaining operation time of the NAVIGAT 100 gyrocompass before
next service is indicated in days and hours (counting down).
Settings:
none
The gyrosphere container warm start is immediately exe-
cuted when entered.
Note After WARM START CONTAINER is initiated, the CCU processor exe-
cutes a self est and directly enters normal operational mode without pre-
vious alignment.
Note A warm start of the gyrosphere container does not affect the CSU proces-
sor controlling the NAVIGAT 100 sensor.
