2.6 Adjusting the Display Brightness

The selected source is made
active and shown in inversed
lettering.
The inactive heading source is
shown in normal lettering.

MENU / MUTE
to return to
the heading display.
In case, the NAVIGAT 100 system is
preset as gyrocompass / magnetic
compass system type and the inac-
tive heading source is currently not
available, dashes are shown in the
select heading source submenu.

A selection of a not available
heading source is not possible.
The functionality of the

keys is disabled.
An audible warn tone is raised,
when the
Left (

keys
are pressed.

Note If the NAVIGAT 100 system is preset as gyrocompass / magnetic compass
system, „GYRO/MAGN“ is displayed first on the menu display.
Note If the system is configured for source selection from an external device,
selection from the control and display unit is disabled.
The active heading source can be changed in a manual steering mode
only.
In automatic steering modes, source selection is disabled and an error
beep sounds when an attempt is made to change the active source.
The brightness of the display background and keypad illumination is
adjusted via the
DIM- / Down (


reduced.
