1.5 Example System Configurations
Standalone Gyrocompass/TMC System
As a standalone system, the NAVIGAT 100 provides North-speed error
corrected true heading as well as rate of turn data.
The NAVIGAT 100 receives magnetic compass heading data via NMEA
input and applies magnetic variation data.
The heading difference alarm function permits to monitor the difference
between the gyrocompass and magnetic compass heading source.
In case of failure of the gyrocompass, the magnetic compass heading
source may be activated to provide an emergency heading reference for
repeaters and other peripheral equipment.
