power-up sequence
After successful system test, the
NAVIGAT 100 starts with the alignment.
The display shows “ALIGN“
alternating with „GYRO“
as long as the alignment continuous.
In case the NAVIGAT 100 is defined as a
Gyro- / Magnetic Compass system and
the magnetic compass is selected as
heading source, no alignment is per-
formed and the display immediately
shows “MAGN“.
When the alignment is finished, the
NAVIGAT 100 enters normal operational
mode.
The display shows the heading data
from the gyro compass and the current
date and time settings are indicated.
The arrow symbols (

) indicate that
additional menu pages are available by
scrolling.

Note The door label at the front shows a summary of the power-up sequence
with a belonging Warning note.
Energize the gyrocompass system.
1) System shows power up screen and performs self-test.
2) System in settling condition/ALIGN and GYRO shown in turn.
After a cold start, the gyrocompass system
requires a settling time of up to three hours
before reliable heading data are produced.
