7.1.1.1 Controlling an additional valve
(DIP switch 1)
See Table 7
The external additional valve can be con-
trolled directly by the control unit of the
MQL system (automatic) or via the fieldbus
interface.
There are two duty types that are set using
DIP switch 1.
In switch position
0FF
, the control unit of the
MQL system switches the additional valve
inverse to the signal of the ball valve.
In switch position
ON
, the additional valve is
switched via bit 6 of output byte 0 over the
FIELDBUS (Chapter 8.2.3).
See Table 7
Model designs UFDX0-1-XX1000 have a
refill device in the form of a self-priming
refill pump. It can be operated in three op-
erating modes which are set with the DIP
switches 2 and 3.
DIP2/ DIP3 = OFF/OFF
Operating mode 1: Control by machine tool
control
unit.
The refill pump is enabled by the machine
tool’s control unit (output byte 0, bit 0).
The machine’s software can evaluate the
information on the fill level in the aerosol
reservoir (Table 10 input byte 0).
DIP2/3 = OFF/ON
Operating mode 2: Automatic start of refill
pump when state drops below “reservoir
full.”
The refill pump is activated automatically by
the MQL control unit.
The refill pump is started when the level
in the aerosol generator drops below the
“reservoir full” level. The refill pump is then
switched off when the fill level in the aerosol
generator rises above the “reservoir full”
level. The fill level sensor features a making/
breaking hysteresis that causes the pump to
cyclically refill a small amount of lubricant.
DIP2/3 = ON/OFF
Operating mode 3: Automatic start of refill
pump when state reaches “minimum.”
The refill pump is activated automatically by
the MQL control unit.
