Malfunctions, causes, and remedies
The following tables provide an overview
of possible malfunctions and their causes.

(see page 3) if you cannot remedy the
malfunction.

Only original SKF spare parts may be used.
Unauthorized alterations to products and
the use of non-original spare parts and ac-
cessories are prohibited.
12.1 Prior to beginning troubleshooting
The following requirements must be met so
that the MQL system
functions smoothly:
o The system is correctly connected.
o Compressed air with an adequate inlet air
pressure (at least 4 bar) is supplied.
IMPORTANT NOTE
Dismantling of the product is prohibited
and voids any claims.
Defective products must be replaced. Only
SKF Service is capable of repairing them.
o The PROFIBUS/PROFINET DP fieldbus
coupler is correctly installed and the BUS
address is consistent.
o The DIP switches in the MQL control unit
are set correctly.
o The MQL system is correctly configured in
the machine control software.
o The machine tool is switched on.
Provided there is no malfunction in the
system itself, most errors that occur can be
resolved quickly.

lems that can be resolved by the customer.
Contact the SKF service department if you
cannot resolve the problem by taking the
measures described here.

relate to communication via the SKF data
connection.

ized during operation. Centralized
lubrication systems must there-
fore be depressurized before
starting repair work or any sys-
tem modifications.
