Operation of SIMATIC PDM is supported by integrated help
functions.

You can operate the device with the optical elements on the control
and display unit (Figure 5-5). You actuate these by touching the glass
panel above the appropriate operating element. You will find a clear
text display above these operating elements which gives you a
menu-guided operation of the individual device functions/parameters
when you actuate the operating elements alternately.

The exact structure of the operating menu is explained in section 5.2 by
the control and display unit.
