Setting OPC Group names and access limitations
Set the
OPC group
name for each subsystem (control unit or device), as it should
appear in the OPC client. This field is located in the
MK8000 Extensor
tab avail-
able for each subsystem.
The OPC interface limitations can be set on the same page in the
Exposed in the
OPC interface
setting (Fig. 62). The option list includes:
Hide
: the subsystem is not visible on the OPC interface.
Display
: the subsystem is visible on the OPC interface, but cannot be com-
manded.
ACK only
: the subsystem is visible on the OPC interface and can be acknowl-
edged (but no other commands are allowed).
ACK + Reset
: the subsystem is visible on the OPC interface, and can be ac-
knowledged and reset (no other commands are allowed).
Full control

Setting the Multi-state value data format
The OPC data item provided by MK8000 (multi-state item) can assume two alter-
native structures:
Threshold mode: The item value will be a number represented in 2 bytes; the
possible states will correspond to specific values.
Bit-mask mode: A 4-byte value will map the possible states on 32 bits, with
each bit corresponding to an elementary state.
