3.4.5.1 Program Tools
In
<installation folder>\Utilities\
, the
Tools
subfolder contains additional useful
software components. The list includes:
Engineering Tools
This utility allows changing various internal options and initialising databases. The
list of functions includes:
SLQ
Server
Configuring the computer name and name of SQL database for MK8000.
Setting SQL server access security: Username and Password.
Configuration DB: Empty Database
Clearing the running configuration to prepare the system for a new
download. This procedure may be used to speed up the download of large
configuration.
Note that after this command, a new download is always required.
Security
Modifying MK8000 internal user account: enter Username and Password.
Redundancy
Setting the names of the two physical PCs of a dual server.
Product
Type
Not available after MK8000 setup.
Station
Names
Updating the DMS8000 environment after any change in the Windows net-
work names of the computers.

Composer Preferences
This program lets you modify the folder where the Composer projects are stored.
MM8kDCOMset
This command-line tool allows setting the MM8000 internal account with batch op-
erations. Launch the command with “-?” parameter to get help.
In general, we do not recommend using this tool. Instead, refer to the Engineering
Tools set described above.
3.4.5.2 Batch commands
The folder:
<installation folder>\Utilities\Bat
contains the following batch procedures:
NK8210ConfigurationTool.exe
This program initialises the IIS (Internet Information Service) for the NK8000 Web
Server to work. It should be used when the IIS software is installed after MM8000
and requires a specific initialisation.
