Measuring 

 

Before measuring dust levels, measure the background (BG) signal level and adjust sensitivity. 

 

8-1-1  Background (BG) Measurement 

Background (BG) refers to the false reading (also called "dark count") output when the 

detector is filled with clean air. Background levels result in excessive dust measurement 

values. Therefore, this product includes a function that measures the background level 

immediately before measuring dust and then subtracts that value from dust measurements. 

 

 

Background Measurement Procedure 

(1) Confirm that the mark on the scattering plate 

knob is at the [MEASURE] position. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

(2) Open the valve and turn the power switch ON.

operation screen (standby mode) is
