3.4.3 Brightness and Contrast
Adjusting the monitor’s brightness and contrast is one of the most important factors for proper
image qualities, if these controls are set incorrectly, the gain, TGC, dynamic range or even
acoustic output have to be changed more often than necessary to compensate.
The adjusting buttons are shown as follows:

Brightness:
<1>, <2> refer to the brightness control keys with a sun marked at the top side; Press key
<1> to decrease the brightness while press key<2> to increase the brightness.

Contrast:
<3>, <4> refer to the contrast control keys with a lune marked at the top side; key <3> is
used to decrease the contrast, while key <4> is used to increase the contrast.

Restore default setting:
Press <2> and <3> and hold for about 3s, the system resets the default settings of the
contrast and brightness.
NOTE: On the display, the brightness adjustment comes before contrast. After readjusting
the display’s contrast and brightness, adjust all presets and peripheral settings.
3.5 Connecting / Disconnecting a Probe
CAUTION:
1. When connecting or disconnecting a probe, place it in a
proper position, to prevent the probe from falling off or
becoming damaged.
2. Only use the probes provided by Mindray. Aftermarket
probes may result in damage or cause a fire.
3.5.1 Connecting a Probe
WARNING:
Before connecting to the system, check if the probes, cables
and connectors are in proper operating order and free from
surface defects, cracks and peeling. Using a defective probe
may cause electric shock.
1. Keep the cable end of the probe to the right side of the system, and insert the connector
fully into the socket (Shown as the left figure).
2. Turn the lock handle 90°clockwise to lock it securely (Shown as the right figure).
3. Place the cable properly to avoid being treaded or wrapping with other devices. DO NOT
allow the probe head to hang free.
