Connect the sample/calibration gas
pipe(s)
Ensure
that the pipes that you connect to the analyser
are routed so that they do not
present a trip hazard to people.
Sample and calibra�on gases may be toxic, asphyxiant or flammable. Ensure that t
he
external connec�ons are leak free at full opera�ng pressure before you use sample or
calibra�on gases.

sample outlet pipe is
vented to an area where the gases will not be a hazard to
people.

is used in a sufficiently well

When you carry out a leak test, do not exceed a maximum pressure of 34.5 kPa gauge
(0.35 bar gauge, 5 psig) and do not introduce a sudden change of pressure into the
analyser. If you do, you can damage it.
If you use a liquid to assist in leak tes�ng, do not spill liquid onto any of
the electrical
components in the sample/control compartment.
If op�onal sample compartment hea�ng is fited the maximum gas dew point is 50
°C.
To prevent condensa�on reaching the analyser
the gas should be maintained at a
minimum of 55
°C
up to the inlet connec�on. Sample compartment hea�ng is not
designed to be a replacement for other sample condi�oning systems used for high
dew point gases.
Connect
your sample/calibra�on gas inlet and outlet pipes to the sample gas inlet and outlet on the
base of the analyser
(see Figure
). The inlet/outlet fi�ngs on the analyser
ar
e 1/4 inch NPT female.
Refer to Sec�on 2.4 for the sample gas requirements, and refer to Sec�on 2.6 for the calibra�on gas
requirements
Locate
your gas selec�on valves (to direct sample or calibra�on gas into the analyser) as close as
possible to the analyser
.
Note:
Do not i
ntroduce calibration or sample gases into the
analyser
yet. You must switch on
the electrical supply and leave the
analyser
for at least 4 hours before you allow
