Exterior Equipment

Press the SHADE IN switch to retract the sunshade. 

Press the switch again to stop the sunshade in the 

current position. Limit switches in the electric ac-

tuators that extend and retract the sunshade will 

automatically stop the actuators when the sun shade 

reaches the fully extended or retracted positions.    

Notice:

If your boat is equipped with rocket launcher 

rod holders on the rear of the hardtop, the 

rod holders will automatically rotate down to 

provide clearance for the sunshade when the 

SHADE OUT button is pressed.  The rod hold-

ers will automatically rotate to the up position 

when the sunshade is retracted.

CAUTION

FISHING RODS IN THE HARDTOP ROCKET LAUNCHER ROD 
HOLDERS WILL ROTATE QUICKLY TO THE HORIZONTAL 
POSITION  WHEN THE SHADE OUT BUTTON IS PRESSED.  
ROD OR REEL COMPONENTS COULD HIT PASSENGERS 
STANDING BEHIND THE HARDTOP.  TO AVOID INJURY, ALWAYS 
MAKE SURE NO PASSENGERS ARE STANDING BEHIND THE 
HARDTOP BEFORE ACTIVATING THE SHADE OUT SWITCH.

    

Hardtop Access Hatch and Ladder

A ladder above the leaning post station and a sliding 

sunroof/access hatch in the hardtop provides ac-

cess to outside accessories and antennas mounted 

to the top or to an optional upper helm station.

 

To open the hatch, push forward on the center of 

the spring loaded latch release and handle across 

the rear of the hatch.  Latches on each side of the 

hatch will release and the hatch will slide forward as 

the handle is pushed.  The hatch will automatically 

lock in the vent or open positions when the handle 

is released and the latches align with notches in the 

slide track.  To close the hatch, pull and hold the 

handle down and slide the hatch to the closed posi-

tion.  Release the handle to automatically secure 

the hatch. Always secure the hatch in the closed 

position when people are in the upper station.  

WARNING

ACCIDENTALLY STEPPING INTO THE HARDTOP/UPPER 
STATION ACCESS HATCH OPENING CAN CAUSE SEVERE 
INJURY TO THE OPERATOR OR CREW.  ALWAYS MAKE SURE 
THE ACCESS HATCH IS CLOSED AND LATCHED WHENEVER 
PEOPLE ARE IN THE UPPER STATION.
