Fresh Water System

Fresh Water Washdown

Fresh water washdown hoses are located on the

port side of the hardtop above the leaning post and

in the anchor winch compartment. Both hoses are

equipped with automatic retracting reels.

To use a washdown hose, make sure the fresh water

system is activated. Pull the nozzle and hose out of

the fitting to the desired length. When washdown

operations are complete, turn OFF the nozzle and pull

the hose out slightly to release the reel lock. Keep

steady pressure on the hose and allow it to slowly

retract until the nozzle seats in the recess.

7.3 Water Heater

The water heater is located behind the starboard

berth backrest cushion in the cabin. The 120 volt

AC element that heats the water is thermostatically

controlled at the heater. It is activated and protected

by a circuit breaker located in the AC breaker panel.

A high pressure relief valve protects the system from

excessive pressure. To avoid damage to the water

heater, always make sure all air is purged from the

water heater and lines before activating the water

heater. Refer to the water heater owner’s manual

for additional information.

CAUTION

DO NOT SUPPLY CURRENT TO AN EMPTY WATER HEATER.
DAMAGE TO THE HEATER WILL RESULT. THE SYSTEM MUST
BE FILLED AND PRIMED BEFORE USING THE WATER HEATER.

7.4 Fresh Water System Maintenance

Information supplied with water system components

by the equipment manufacturers is included with

this manual. Refer to this information for additional

operation and service data.

Routine Maintenance

The following items should be done routinely to

maintain your fresh water system:

• Periodically remove and clean the water strainers

located near the intake side of each fresh water

pump. To clean the strainers, make sure the

Fresh Water system is off. Rotate the strainer

bowl counterclockwise to release it. Remove and

clean the screen with fresh water. Lubricate the

O-ring lightly with Teflon or silicone grease and

reinstall the strainer bowl.
