With your decision to buy a Schindelhauer e-bike, you now own a premium
quality product. According to European warranty terms and conditions, the
period of warranty is two years. It begins with the delivery to the customer.
As proof of purchase and delivery, please store the sales receipt for the
duration of warranty.
In addition to the general two-year warranty period, a reverse burden of
proof is in effect for a period of six months following the purchase. After
this period, the buyer has to prove that the fault was already present when
the product was delivered and was not in fact caused by improper main-
tenance or wear and tear.
We grant a five-year warranty on all Schindelhauer bikes frames with
regard to material defects and processing errors, starting from the date
of purchase. The warranty is limited to the original buyer of the product
only and is not transferrable. Should the product be transferred to another
person, this warranty expires.
The warranty does not cover:
1. Damage caused by improper handling (see chapter 2.1 on page 50)
or by force majeure.
2. All parts subject to functional wear and tear as far as there is no pro-
duction or material failure (see chapter 7.1 on page 71).
3. Damage caused by improper or poor maintenance and care, non- pro-
fessional repairs, rebuilding or replacements of parts.
4. Damage caused by accidents or other abnormal interferences as far
they are not traced back to informational or product failures.
5. Repairs done with used parts or following damages due to this.
6. Damage caused under competitive circumstances.
7. Subsequent installation of additional parts, which were not included in
the scope of delivery at the date of delivery, or damages caused while
assembling these parts.
