The height of your handlebar must not be altered with the components of
the original equipment!
In case you want to change the tilt of your handlebar, loosen the four bolts
of the stem cap so you can do the adjustment (fig. 10 ). Evenly tighten the
bolts to a torque of
5-6 Nm
afterwards. Take care that the gap between
stem cap and stem body is even.
After adjusting the tilt of the handlebar, it might be necessary to adjust the
tilt of other components such as brake levers, shift lever and display to fit
the new handlebar orientation. Never install the handlebar upside down,
otherwise you could blind oncoming traffic.
When braking it is advised to pull the lever with just your index and middle
fingers so you can grab the handlebar firmly. Adjust the position of the
brake lever along the handlebar to a position that allows you to comfor-
tably grip the lever with two fingers.
1. Loosen the clamping bolt of the shift lever (4 mm hex key) if necessary.
2. Loosen both bolts of the brake lever clamp (4 mm hex key) until you
can move the brake lever unit.
3. Adjust the position of the brake lever along the handlebar. Figure 13
shows an example of an ergonomic setup.
4. Before tightening the clamp of the brake lever completely, make sure to
also adjust the tilt of the brake lever (see next chapter).

6.3.1. Brake lever position
6.2.2. Handlebar tilt
The stem must NOT be mounted upside down! The
clamping does only work in the way it is originally
mounted.
The stem is specially designed to work with the internal
cable routing of your e-bike and can NOT be replaced by
any other stem on the market!
When adjusting the position and orientation of your hand-
lebars, please consider that the position and orientation of
the light beam also changes. It is necessary that you check
the position and orientation of the light beam and readjust
accordingly (chapter 3.7 on page 62) If the beam is
adjusted too high it might blind the oncoming traffic, if it is
too low it might not be visible for other road users.
Danger of accident and crashing!
