A classic Schindelhauer Bike - but motorized. Arthur‘s design means that
you cannot tell it apart from any Schindelhauer Bike without an e-motor. It
is the ideal E-Bike for cyclists, who want to tackle city cycling with comfort
and agility with an extra push.
The 250-Watt rear hub motor powers the bike, while the battery is
concealed in the downtube. Arthur’s geometry combines a sportive
yet comfortable riding experience and, at 13.4 kg, comes without any
unnecessary weight. Arthur offers everything you need for city cycling,
including a LightSKIN lighting system integrated into the seat post and
handlebar as well as a hydraulic disc brake system from Formula.
A pedelec (Pedal Electric Cycle) with an electric support up to a speed of
25 km/h is treated like a normal bicycle before German law. Registration,
license plate or driving license are not required when riding a pedelec in
Germany. Please inform yourself about possible important differences in
e-bike legislation in your country. For simplification the word e-bike will
be used in this manual.
2. Your Schindelhauer e-bike
The built-in front and rear lights comply with German
traffic law. Before your first ride, please also mount the
front, rear and pedal reflectors that are delivered with
your e-bike, if required by your country’s traffic law.

To ensure a high level of safety, the following pages are intended to
provide guidance on the intended use of your Schindelhauer bike. It is of
utmost importance, not to stretch yourself and your bike beyond the limits
of its intended use. This may result in material failure of the frame or other
components and may lead to severe falls and/or personal injury.
Your Schindelhauer e-bike is a city bike and may only be operated on plain
to lightly unpaved surfaces and only with the required tyre pressure (see
chapter 7.6 on page 75). Your e-bike is approved for the transport of
one adult person and one adult person only.
For children, the restrictions in chapter 2.4 on page 54 apply.
The manufacturer and the dealer may not be held responsible for any
injuries, claims or damage that arose due to failing to meet these limit-
ations or violations of any safety suggestions stated within this manual.
The e-bike model Arthur is not suitable for:
• Racing / competitive use
• Cleaning the e-bike by using a pressure washer or a powerful water jet.
• Tuning of the Mahle Ebikemotion eBike System
• Charging the e-bike in wet conditions
The e-bike models Karl,
Heinrich and Hannah are
approved for a total weight of
max. 130 kg
(rider + e-bike +
luggage).

Schindelhauer bikes are high-end lightweight bikes.
Always handle your e-bike and its components with care
and only use the e-bike within the scope of its intended
use. Misuse, poor assembly and maintenance may impair
the safety of your e-bike.
