Adjust the reach of the brake levers to the size of your hands. You should
be able to safely grip the lever with the first joint of the two fingers used
(fig. 15 ).
If you would like to change components of your ebike please check the
ZIV-guide (chapter 12 on page 85) for component exchange. You can
change parts from category 4 if you have the specific knowledge. Excep
-
tions to this are bottom bracket and steering bearings. Those parts may
only be changed by a trained dealer as the inner cable routing may be
damaged. The exchange of components from other categories is possible.
Please contact Schindelhauer Bikes or your specialist Schindelhauer dealer
for more information.
6.3.3. Brake lever reach
6.3.4. Component exchange
When adjusting the tilt of the brake lever, make sure that your fingers can
rest on the levers comfortably when sitting on your e-bike. In side view,
arm, wrist and fingers should roughly form a straight line to take stress off
your wrist joint (fig. 14 ).
After successful adjustment, first tighten the upper bolt of the brake lever
clamp to a torque of
2.5-3 Nm
. Then repeat this step with the lower bolt
of the clamp. Make sure that the arrow on the clamp is pointing upwards!
6.3.2. Brake lever tilt
The reach can be adjusted by turning the adjustment screw with a 2 mm
hex key. (fig. 16 ).
