Some complex documents include text and one or more pictures
and tables. When this is the case, you may not be certain which
page type to select. If the text is single column, select
Table
. If
the text is multi-column, you can either modify the Table page
type or select Magazine (b&w).
TextBridge can produce two types of tables: cell tables and tab
tables. A
cell table
is divided into rows and columns made of
areas called cells. A
tab table
is divided into text separated by
tabs. If a table is zoned as a Table, TextBridge outputs a cell table.
If a table is zoned as Text, TextBridge outputs a tab table or
regular text.
A table zone automatically retains table layout including grid
lines if your table has them. When you open the resulting
document in your word processor, the table will be divided into
cells, and the table layout, including gridlines, will be preserved.
