FIXING PHOTOS
To use the Heal effect:
1
If needed, drag a photo from the Transporter.

Select Image menu > Effects, and Heal.

If needed, you can click the brush in the Heal effect control and use the Brush
controller to set the brush size. (Refer to
“Brush Controller” on page 52
for details.)

Click a small spot to heal it, or click and drag along a scratch or tear, following the
path of the blemish.

Use small or large brush strokes as needed depending on the type of flaw you are
correcting. You can also adjust the effect range using the slider at the bottom of the
Effect tool.

Adjust the opacity of the effect.

If you make a mistake, use the erase tool to fix it.

Choose Apply once you are satisfied with your results.
Healing an image.
Very wide rips or missing pieces of a photograph may require
combining the Heal, Clone, and Smooth tools. If you heal a
large flaw and it leaves a fuzzy area, use Clone to make it look
better.
