Saving and recalling scanner tunings from memory and files
All of the settings in the Mach-DSP servo driver described above can be saved to
memory as well as a file on disk, for instant recall at power-up or at some point in the
future. The settings are collectively referred to as a “tuning”.
Saving a tuning to memory
At any point in time, you can save all of the settings found on the Basic, Intermediate,
Advanced, and Pangolin-only tabs, as well as the settings of the Test Signal Generator,
Oscilloscope and Analog Outputs. These settings are all saved to flash memory on the
Mach-DSP amplifier using the Tuning menu, as shown below.
Recalling (and activating) a tuning from memory
Once a tuning is saved in memory, it can be recalled later using the “Activate tuning
number” item on the Tuning menu.
In addition to loading all of the settings from
memory, this is also used to specify which tuning should be used on power-up!
Note that the “Activate tuning number” menu can be used at any time. For example, if
you currently have “Tuning 1” activated, and have changed some of the tuning settings,
and want to undo your changes, just click on “Activate tuning memory 1”, and it will
recall all of the original settings for “Tuning 1”. This is a convenient way to undo any
unintentional changes.
