eliminate the overshoot.

Continue increasing Error Integral gain, Low Frequency Damping, and Position-
proportional gain to increase servo bandwidth and decrease step time. As was the
case in step L of section 10.2 above, eventually you will reach a point where the
squarewave no longer looks square after the rise, or that it is not possible to
completely eliminate the overshoot using Low Frequency Damping and Position-
proportional gain. This is illustrated below. (Set the time-base to 50 microseconds.)
