The configuration of IDU 2 at LOCATION 2 is similar to above explained GUI pages but with parameters
updated according to definition in Figure 80 for IDU 2.
Example 3 – Out-of-Band MNG in separated channel
Out-of-Band management configuration in separated channel is a preferred scheme when more links
in series is managed and the management access is originated from any link locations or from
provider's management node. The communication with remote side is ensured by means of
configurable separated middle speed traffic channel, management traffic runs through the internal
ETH switch inside each IDU. Management and data traffic are separated at provider side and they are
then kept separated by reserved standalone channel through radio links. Management access is
available also from opposite side (customer sides) by similar configuration of channel separation.
The application example is shown at the Figure 85.The configuration of the most important GUI pages
at LOCATION 1 (provider side) is shown at the figures 86 - 89.
