P6040/P6080 Corrective Maintenance

5-44. Logic C3 PCBA (Figure 5-40)

a. Removal

ă1. Loosen two fasteners (1). Allow rear door (2) to swing open.
ă2. Swing open card cage (3).
ă3. Remove tie wrap securing ejection lever (4).
ă4. Lift ejection levers (4).
ă5. Pull PCBA (5) out of card cage (3).

b. Installation

ă1. If installing a new PCBA:

(a) Compare original PCBA with replacement.
(b) If new board is different version, refer to User's Reference Manual.
(c) If new board is same version, remove any PROMs, jumper platforms, piggyback

PCBAs, or terminations from the original board and install them on the replaceĆ

ment.

CAUTION

-

Installing a PCBA in the wrong slot or backwards in the correct slot will

damage PCBA and connector.

ă2. Slide PCBA (5) into correct slot of card cage (5) with component side toward rear of

printer.

ă3. Engage ejection levers (4) at edge of card cage (3) and close to seat PCBA.
ă4. Secure ejection levers (4) with tie wraps.
ă5. Swing card cage (3) into place.
ă6. Close rear door (2). Engage and tighten two fasteners (1).

5-45. Hammer Driver PCBA (Figure 5-41)

a. Removal

ă1. Loosen two fasteners (1) and allow rear door (2) to open. Swing out card cage (3).
ă2. Dis70V power supply by putting a 1K resistor across any two adjacent bus bars on

the PCBA (4).

ă3. Disconnect seven leads (5) from PCBA (4).
ă4. Remove tie wrap securing ejector levers (6), lift levers and pull PCBA (4) out of card cage

(3).
