b. Installation

- continued

ă2. To install right tractor:

(a) Slide right tractor (3) onto support shaft (10).
(b) Put support shaft (10) with both tractors (3 and 4) into printer.
(c) Install spline shaft (10) into tractors (3 and 4). Make sure specially identified nub

on each tractor is in same location relative to spline shaft.

(d) Slide spline shaft (7) to left and slip belt (12) onto feed motor pulley (13).

ă3. Screw support shaft (10) into knob (11).
ă4. Install screw (8) and washer (9).
ă5. Install bushing (6) on spline shaft (7).
ă6. Tighten setscrew (5).
ă7. Adjust belt tension if required, per paragraph 5-14.
ă8. Verify tractors (3 and 4) are parallel on shafts. Adjust if necessary.

5-36. Paper Motion Sensor (Figure 5-32)

a. Removal

ă1. Remove power cord (1). Open cover (2).
ă2. Unlock right tractor (3) and left tractor (4).
ă3. Remove screw (5) star washer (6), and washer (7).
ă4. Unscrew support shaft (8) from knob (9).
ă5. Move support shaft (8) to right until it clears left tractor (4).
ă6. Tip left tractor (4) to gain access to nut (10).
ă7. Remove nut (10), star washer (11), washer (12), and retainer (13).
ă8. Disconnect sensor (14) from cable (15).
ă9. Separate sensor (14) from tractor (4).
