5-30. Shuttle Motor

-continued

b. Installation

ă1. Install pulley if required.

(a) Position pulley (8) on adapter (23).
(b) Install three screws (21) and washers (22).

ă2. Position motor (6) in printer (20).
ă3. Support motor and install four carriage bolts (19), washers (18), star washers (17), and

nuts (5). Do not tighten.

ă4. Connect ground lead (16).
ă5. Connect motor leads (13) to terminal board (12) by installing screws (14) and terminal

lugs (15).

ă6. Place cover (11) over terminal board (12).
ă7. Install two nuts (9) and star washers (10).
ă8. Slip belt (7) over motor pulley (8).
ă9. Adjust belt tension per paragraph 5-13.
10. Position cam cover (2) with attached gasket (3) on housing (4).
11. Install two screws (1).
12. Install printer cover per paragraph 5-17b.

5-31. Shuttle Belt (Figure 5-27)

a. Removal

ă1. Remove flywheel assembly per paragraph 5-27a.
ă2. Remove belt (1) from shuttle motor pulley (2). Check that pulley (2) is not loose on shaft.

b. Installation

ă1. Place belt (1) over shuttle motor pulley (2).
ă2. Install flywheel assembly per paragraph 5-27b.
