Overriding the emergency stop
function
The emergency stop function can be overridden
while driving. This temporarily deactivates the sys-
tem. This also happens when the driver acts un-
knowingly. Override the emergency stop function by:
e Move the steering wheel.
– or –
e
Press the brake pedal.
– or –
e
Forcefully press the accelerator pedal.
The emergency stop function can be ended follow-
ing triggering when stationary.
End the emergency stop function by:
e
Releasing the parking brake.

e
Exit operating mode P (select transmission
range)
Activating and deactivating the
emergency stop function
e ASSIST e Emergency Stop Fcn
Information
The emergency stop function is activated automati-
cally when the ignition is switched on.

Assist or Active Lane Keeping apply.
