NOTICE
Danger of damage to the Targa roof and roof
mechanism.
e Do not operate the Targa roof:
– At temperatures below 32 °F (0 °C).
– When one side of the vehicle is on a curb, a
lifting platform or a jack.
– When items of luggage or other objects hin-
der the movement of the roof.
e
Avoid frequent operation of the roof with the
engine off; the vehicle battery will rapidly
discharge.
e
Only drive with the Targa roof fully open or
closed.
e To prevent damp stains and abrasion damage,
open the Targa roof only when it is in a dry, clean
state.
e Park the vehicle in the shade if possible, since
continuous exposure to the sun attacks textiles,
rubber and paint.

Opening and closing the
Targa roof
When opening and closing the Targa roof, parts of
the body can become trapped between the roof
mechanism or convertible-top element, glass rear
screen and stationary vehicle parts.
e When opening and closing the Targa roof, ensure
that no one is injured by the Targa roof mecha-
nism or convertible-top element and glass rear
screen.
e In order to interrupt roof operation in the event of
danger, immediately release the button in the
vehicle or on the vehicle key.
e
Keep the lids of the vanity mirrors in the sun vi-
sors closed when closing the Targa roof.
When opening and closing the Targa roof, the side
windows are slightly lowered and close automati-
cally if the roof operation is not interrupted after
reaching the final roof position.

Ignition is switched on.
b b Vehicle is stationary.
e Pull and hold the button for opening or closing
the Targa roof with no interruption until the
Targa roof has reached its final position or the
windows are in the desired position.
The corresponding message on the multifunction
display goes out.
In the event of danger:
e Release the button.
Operation of the roof stops.
