1. Press the button.
2. Lift the lid slightly and open the lid safety catch.
3. Open the lid completely.
When the lid is open, the luggage compartment
light comes on.
Information
When the luggage compartment lid is unlocked with
the vehicle key, the vehicle doors are also unlocked.

b b The vehicle key is at the front of the vehicle.
1. Move your hand between the Porsche crest and
license plate. Use either a back-and-forth
movement or a swipe motion.
The lid is unlocked.
2. Lift the lid slightly and open the lid safety catch.
3. Open the lid completely.
When the lid is open, the luggage compartment
light comes on.
Closing luggage compartment lid
CAUTION
Heavy luggage compart-
ment lid
When closing the luggage compartment lid, it can
fall into the lock by its own weight from the half-way
open position.
e Make sure that no objects or limbs are located
within range of the moving parts (hinges) or
under the luggage compartment lid.
1. Lower the lid and allow it to fall into the lock.
Press the lid closed with the flat of your hand
over the lock area.
2. Check that the lid has correctly engaged in the
lock.
If the lid is not correctly locked, a message ap-
pears on the instrument cluster while driving.
Trunk entrapment
Your vehicle is equipped with an internal trunk re-
lease mechanism.
A person trapped in the luggage compartment can
release the lid from the inside using the unlocking
button.
The unlocking button is equipped with a light indi-
cator. The light indicator keeps flashing for 60 mi-
nutes after locking of the luggage compartment lid.
WARNING
Unsecured Luggage
When loading the luggage compartment, make sure
that items of luggage or other objects cannot be-
come caught on the handle. This could cause the
luggage compartment to open unintentionally.
