THERMOSTAT LOCATION
The thermostat
q
is integrated in the coolant bottle.
NOTICE
If thermostat replacement is required, the coolant bottle
must be replaced.
THERMOSTAT TESTING
The thermostat varies coolant flow by opening and
closing as the coolant temp rises and falls.
Thermostat Specifications
Thermostat Start to Open
80-87 °F (27-30 °C)
Thermostat Fully Opened
107 °F (42 °C)
Follow the test below to verify proper thermostat
operation.
1. Remove the coolant bottle / thermostat assembly.
2. Fill a pot with distilled water.
3. Place the pot on a commercially available hot plate.
4. Place the coolant bottle / thermostat assembly in the
distilled water.
5. Heat the water using a thermometer to monitor the
temperature of the water.
IMPORTANT
Heating the coolant bottle / thermostat assembly
excessively may cause permanent thermostat damage.
6. If the thermostat tests as specified the coolant bottle /
thermostat assembly may be reused. Replace the
thermostat if it tests outside of specification.
NOTICE
If thermostat replacement is required, the coolant bottle
must be replaced.
