Driver Circuit is Open.
Can be caused by Damaged Wiring /
Connections, a Faulty Oil Pump /
Connections or Faulty ECU / Connections.

P16BC
This Trouble Code Sets if a Failure is
Detected in the Oil Pump Driver Circuit.
Can be caused by Damaged Wiring /
Connections, a Faulty Oil Pump /
Connections or Faulty ECU / Connections.
If either DTC is set by the ECU, the ECU will enable a reduced engine power mode. The driver should turn off the
engine immediately to prevent serious engine damage.
Ensure that the wire harness connector is connected and secured to the oil pump housing and the wires are not
chaffed or cut.
CRANKCASE WEEP HOLE
The crankcase weep hole
q
is located behind the water
pump cover profile on the lower crankcase half.
A coolant drip at the weep hole is an indication the
mechanical water pump seal requires replacement.
An oil drip from the weep hole indicates the water pump
cross shaft oil seal has moved. This indicates the cross
shaft oil seal was improperly installed or the water pump
cross shaft oil gallery outlet valve is plugged and requires
replacement.
