14. Click “Continue” on Digital Wrench. Digital Wrench
will now set the vehicle information in the new ECU.
15. Digital Wrench will transfer the original ECU’s vehicle
information to the new ECU. Do not touch the PC /
laptop, power cables, or communication cables
during this process.
16. When the process is completed, cycle the power to
the ECU by removing the power connector, waiting at
least 10 seconds, and then re-connecting power.
MANUAL ECU REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE
1. Follow steps 1 through 11 in the ECU replacement
procedure.
2. Digital Wrench will notify the user that it is unable to
communicate with the ECU. Click on “Done /
Continue”.
3. The next screen asks the user to enter the vehicle
model number and serial number. Enter the correct
model and serial numbers for the vehicle into the data
fields and then click on “Continue”.
IMPORTANT
The model and serial numbers are used by Digital
Wrench to determine which calibration and ground
speed PPM files are used during programming and
cannot be changed after programming. Do not enter
incorrect numbers into the data fields.
4. On the next screen, select either “Security Enabled”
or “Security Disabled”. Click on “Continue”.
