7. Slide the FTS / cross shaft assembly rearward and at
an angle to remove the rail beams.
NOTICE
The cross shaft washers will stay in the rail beams. Do
not misplace these washers.
8. With the assembly removed, the shock can be
removed from the cross shaft. Note the position of the
following items as the spacers and washers must be
installed as shown during assembly.
1. .813″ x .406″ x .105″ Washers
2. Shock Centering Spacers
3. .719″ x 1.25″ x .065″ Washers
4. Cross Shaft
FRONT TRACK SHOCK (FTS) INSTALLATION
1. Inspect the cross shaft mounting holes in the left and
right rail beams. If the holes are elongated, the rail(s)
must be replaced.
2. Installation of the FTS is the reverse of removal.
3. Clean the cross shaft rail beam fastener threads and
apply Loctite 263 to the threads.
4. Use new lock nuts where applicable.
5. Verify the cross shaft washers

are installed
between the cross shaft and rail beams.
6. To secure the limiter strap, lower the front of the track
onto a floor jack. Jack the front of the suspension
upwards until the limiter strap screw can be installed.
7. Reset the FTS spring preload to the measurement
noted prior to disassembly.
8. Torque fasteners / lock nuts to specifications.
TORQUE
FTS Cross Shaft Rail Beam Fasteners:
50 ft-lbs (68 N·m)
Apply Loctite 263 to fastener prior to assembly
FTS Mounting Fastener:
33 ft-lbs (45 N·m)
Bogie Wheel Lock Nuts:
10 ft-lbs (14 N·m)
Limiter Strap Lock Nuts:
12 ft-lbs (16 N·m)
