Writing to CDs/DVDs (B's Recorder/B's CLiP)
B's CLiP
B's CLiP runs when the computer starts up, and the
icon or the
icon is displayed on
the notification area.
z
The
icon is displayed when the DVD MULTI drive power is on and if there is no media
inserted, or if a media other than a disk formatted using B’s CLiP has been inserted.
z
The
icon is displayed when the DVD MULTI drive power is on and a disk formatted
using B's CLiP has been inserted.
z
The
icon is displayed when the drive power is off.
When an external CD/DVD drive has been connected
z
Do not turn the DVD MULTI drive power off on this computer when writing to a disk in an
external CD/DVD drive using B's Recorder/B's CLiP. Turning the power off may result in a
malfunction, such as an interruption in the external CD/DVD drive operation.
B's Recorder
z
DVD-RAM recorded using B's Recorder become “read only.”
Once a DVD-RAM disk has been written using B's Recorder, physical formatting is
required to write using applications other than B's Recorder. (
z
Be sure to shut down B's Recorder before logging off Windows.
B's Recorder may fail to start up properly. If this occurs, reboot the computer.
B's CLiP
z
Cannot read from or write to CD-R/DVD-R/+R/DVD-RAM disk using B's CLiP. Only CD-
RW/DVD-RW/+RW are available.
z
Cannot write or read DVD-RW disks created using DVD recorders.
z
Do not use the Fast User Switching function
If this function is used, the
icon or the
icon will no longer be shown on the notifica-
tion area after the switching is complete, and B's CLiP cannot be used. If this happens,
log off all users, and then log-on to Windows with the user you want to use
