Battery Power
The battery pack has a function (Battery Recalibration) for measuring, storing and learning
about battery capacity. Using the "Battery Recalibration" function to accurately display
remaining battery capacity requires that the battery pack be fully charged (charged to 100%),
then fully discharged.
This procedure should be performed once after you purchase the computer. As you use the
battery pack over a long period of time, the remaining capacity display may become
inaccurate due to aging of the battery pack and other factors. The procedure described
below should be performed again.

If the computer is turned off while performing the "Battery Recalibration" (electrical
power outage, accidental removal of the AC adaptor or battery pack, etc.), the
"Battery Recalibration" will not be performed properly

"Battery Recalibration" does not increase the battery's capacity. If "Battery
Recalibration" is executed frequently, deterioration of the battery may result

Attach the battery pack, then connect the AC adaptor.
Remove all peripherals (except for the battery pack and AC adaptor).

Use the "Battery Recalibration" to fully discharge the battery pack.

Run the Setup Utility. (

Select [Battery Recalibration] from the [Exit] menu and press the
Enter
key.

At the confirmation message, select [Yes] and press the
Enter
key.
Once the battery indicator turns green, the battery pack will be completely dis-
charged. It takes approximately 4.5 hours until the power automatically goes off
through the complete discharge of the battery from the fully charged state.
