RE-SENDING DOCUMENTS/PAGES FROM
MEMORY AUTOMATICALLY
If, for any reason, your document or pages of a
document are not transmitted or are transmitted
unsatisfactorily, you can set the fax machine to re-
send either the entire document or individual pages
of the document by setting the appropriate procedure
before beginning transmission.
Proceed as follows:
1.
Make sure that the display shows the initial wait-
ing mode, and the date and time.

key and the “8” key on the nu-
meric keypad.

If you want any pages that have not been
sent to be ignored, press the
key.
Otherwise continue as follows:

key to automatically re-send
any pages not received.

If you do not want any documents in mem-
ory to be re-sent automatically, press the
key. The fax machine will return to the
initial waiting mode. Otherwise, proceed as
follows:

Press the
key and then the
key to
return the fax machine to the initial waiting
mode.
This procedure is valid only for documents sent
from the memory.
IF THE TRANSMISSION IS NOT SUCCESSFUL
1.
using the ADF:
a)
If the transmission is not performed be-
cause of line or fax problems, the indicator
light
(ERROR) lights up and the fax ma-
chine beeps; in this case, once programmed to
do so, the fax machine automatically prints
the transmission report (see “Printing re-
ports and lists”), in which an error code indi-
cates the cause. (You will find a list of error
codes in “Keeping the fax machine in good
working order”.)
When the printout is completed, press the
key to switch the indicator light off and
remove the document from the ADF manually.
b)
If you attempt to transmit a document that is
too long (more than 600 mm) or if the docu-
ment gets jammed during transmission, the
fax machine aborts the transmission automati-
cally, the indicator light
(ERROR) lights
up and the fax machine beeps to warn you.
