Fax operation (Various functions)
3. A different bell will ring in the fax for 25
seconds.
* If the telephone receiver is not picked up
while this bell is still ringing, the
facsimile will switch to fax reception.
* The volume of this bell can be set to one
of 3 levels. (Refer to Memory Switch
No. 93: “Operator-Call Bell Volume”,
page 142.)
4. Pick up the receiver and speak with the
other party.
At the end of the conversation, fax
reception may be initiated manually.

2. The separately purchased telephone will ring a
designated number of times (1 - 11).
* In order to set the number of times the telephone will
ring, refer to Memory Switch No. 04: “Number of
Rings”, page 140.
* If the telephone receiver is picked up while the bell is
still ringing, the facsimile will deal with this the same
as a standard manual fax reception. Refer to “Manual
fax reception”, page 71, and perform the procedure
explained there starting from step 3.
