3.2.28 ADF Roller Assembly
1. Perform these procedures:

2. Remove the ADF roller assembly (1).
NOTE:
The ADF roller assembly consists of the ADF feed roller, the ADF shaft, the ADF (B) collar, the
Z49 gear, the ADF roller spring, the ADF bearing, the E-ring, and the compression washer. To
replace any of these parts, order the assembly.
Cleaning
Clean the ADF roller as necessary.
Refer to Section 3.4 of this Service Handbook for cleaning
details .
Lubrication
Lightly lubricate the Z49 gear.
Refer to Section 3.5 of this Service Handbook for lubrication
details .
