MC 2000
Expandable MIDI Master Controller
125
Then press [ENTER] and the MC 2000 will start to send the data while the display will
show the message of the section undergoing the Bulk Dump.
Keep the connected unit recording until the message "
BULK DUMP OUT COMPLETED
"
appears on the display, when the procedure can be considered completed.
To reload the data, connect the MIDI OUT port of the device containing the Bulk Dump
data to the MIDI IN port of the MC 2000 selected as control port (SEE point 7.2.2 MIDI IN
STATUS) and start the playback procedure. The message "
RECEIVING BULK
DUMP"
will appear on the display, confirming the operation in progress.
Special advice:
1. For the best results from a MIDI BULK DUMP, set the metronome time of the
sequencer or computer at a value of about 100 BPM.
2. Never try to modify the contents of the exclusive code file using the editors: even
apparently tiny changes to just one letter or number will render the file unrecognizable
to the MC 2000 and all the data it contains will be irretrievably lost.
3. During reception of the BULK DUMP data, the MC 2000 should be in Program Mode.
Remember that when an active filter is set on the exclusive systems, BULK DUMP
reception is not possible.
7.4. EDIT TABLES
7.4.1. Introduction
In this section, which can be selected from the Utility Master video page using key [F3] or
using the cursor keys and confirming with [ENTER], the user can assign the name of his
choice to each of the 4 MIDI outputs, create personalized tables containing the names of
the Program Changes and finally create personalized tables containing the exclusive
system codes. All the tables will then be available during patch creation (
EDIT MODE
). As
soon as the Edit Tables section is selected, the display will show 3 subsections:
OUT
NAMES, PRG TABLES
and
EXC TABLES
. Each of these is accessed by pressing the
relative function key or selecting the field using the cursor keys and confirming with
[ENTER].
7.4.2. OUT Names
This is the first EDIT TABLES subsection. It displays the current names of the
instrument's 4 MIDI outputs, and the "
change
" function, corresponding to key [F6], can be
used to assign the name of the user's choice to each of these outputs.
