6.3. PLAY CHAIN
As already specified, in the Chain selection menu (which appears when the key of the
same name on the control panel is pressed), if the selected chain contains associated
steps, the function key [F5] (play) is made available.
When this function key is pressed, the display will show the following video page:
When the video page is accessed, the following fields will be seen:
•
STEP N : step number selection. This field is preset and since there are no other
selectable user fields, the [F1] key is disabled.
•
PGM N: field which displays the patch associated to the current step.
•
PATCH NAME DISPLAY : field which displays the name of the patch associated to the
current step.
When the function is accessed, step number 1 is selected and the display will show the
number and name of the patch associated to it.
When function key [F6] (next) is pressed, the current patch will be loaded; each time the
key is pressed after this, the step will be increased by one unit and the corresponding
patch will be loaded automatically.
Since the "STEP" field is selected, the Encoder can be moved or the Data Entry devices
used to scroll through the steps in the Chain without loading them; this will only occur
when key [F6] is pressed on the selected step.
The cursor keys are not enabled. The following are the functions associated to the function
keys:
•
[F4] = REW function: scrolls back through the steps without loading them until the limit
of step 001. Once the step has been selected, press [F6] ( next ) to load it; each time
this key is pressed after this, the system will move on one step, and each step will be
loaded automatically.
•
[F5] = FF function: scrolls forward through the steps without loading them until the limit
of the last step. Once the step has been selected, press [F6] ( next ) to load it; each time
