5.4.3. Control Change
Returning to the submenu video page of the "OUT MESSAGES" function (shown above),
we can see that as well as the "PRG CHANGE" field, it also contains the "
CTRL
CHANGE " field, containing the main parameters for control of the zone, which will be sent
when the patch is recalled.
The parameters concerned relate to the "
VOLUME
" level (corresponding to the value of
Control Change 7), “ PAN-POT ” position in the stereophonic panorama (Control Change
10) and the level of the " REVERB " (Control Change 91) and the " CHORUS " (Control
Change 93) effects.
When the " CTRL CHANGE " field is selected using the cursor location devices and
confirming with “ENTER” (or by pressing function key [F2] without confirmation), the
following video page will appear:
The first field, in the top left-hand corner, allows selection of the zone (from A to H). The
other fields allow modification of the parameters listed above, with the option of the OFF
condition (message not sent) and a range of 0-127. The fields are selected and the values
modified using the usual procedure.
As can be seen, against the [F6] key there is a function instead of a field (as already seen
in the Play Mode). This can be recognized by the fact that the field appears in brackets
and in lower case characters. If function key [F6] (

) is pressed, the following page,
dedicated to an
auxiliary Control Change
to be attributed to the zone, is accessed.
An auxiliary Control Change differs from the previous control changes in that both its
"type" and its value can be set by the user.
Note that when this page is accessed the "ZONE" field is not present, since the zone
continues to be that set in the previous page, and the auxiliary control change will be
housed on its channel and port.
The auxiliary Control Changes set by the user are sent when the patch is loaded, as well
as during setting of these changes themselves.
We can see that the video page contains only two fields which can be selected, and one
field for display only:
