6. CHAIN MODE
6.1. INTRODUCTION
The
CHAIN
mode allows the user to create and perform a sequence of patches present in
the instrument's memory. The MC 2000 permits management of 64 different chains, each
of them able to contain 256 steps.
When the [CHAIN] key in the MODE group on the control panel is pressed, the key LED
illuminates and the display shows the following video page:
As can be seen, on the first line of the display the instrument prompts the user to enter the
number of the chain.
The second line contains, in brackets, the enabled functions of keys [F5] and [F6] (the only
function keys active in this video page).
The two function keys enable, respectively:

[F5] (
play
): performance of the selected chain;
•
[F6] (
edit
): modification of the selected chain.
The Encoder and the other Data Entry devices can be used to set the number of the chain
desired (1-64) and the relative name will appear in the field provided on the display.
6.2. EDIT CHAIN
Starting from the chain selection menu, [F6] is pressed to launch the procedure for
modifying or creating the selected chain. The display will show:
