Zip Drive Specifications and Jumper Settings E-3
The Zip drive has one six-pin configuration jumper block on the back of the drive. Jumpers
on the block configure the drive as a slave (factory set) or master. Descriptions of the
jumpers are as follows
Cable Select Mode (Master Drive Automatic Selection) — enables/disables the
cable select feature. Factory set at disabled (pins 1–4, 2–5, and 3–6 jumpered)
Drive 1 Select (Slave Drive Select) — enables/disables the slave feature. Factory
set at enabled (pins 1–4 and 2–3 jumpered, pins 5–6 open)
Drive 0 Select (Master drive Select)— enables/disables the master feature.
Factory set at disabled (pins 1–4 and 2-5 jumpered, pins 3–6 open).
