Reinstall the system unit cover.

VIDEO MEMORY UPGRADE

PowerMate Office 2513/2516 Series computers ship with 1 MB of EDO video memory.
Video memory can be upgraded to a maximum of 4 MB. Two video memory upgrade
options are available to upgrade the video memory as follows:

1-MB Video Memory Upgrade — 

 

To upgrade from 1 MB to 2 MB of video

memory. This option uses two 60-ns EDO video memory modules (order part
OP-410-19202).

n

 

2-MB Video Memory Upgrade — 

 

To upgrade from 2 MB to 4 MB of video

memory. The option uses a 2-MB memory module card designed for 2513 and
2516 models (order part OP-410-19201).

Video Memory Upgrade to 2 MB

Use the following procedures to upgrade video memory to 2 MB.

1. 

Remove the system unit cover as previously described.

2. 

Locate the 1-MB video memory upgrade sockets (see Figure Section 3-8).

 

Remove any expansion boards obstructing the view of the sockets (see Expansion
Board Removal).

 

CAUTION:

   Reduce static discharge by

touching the system’s metal chassis.

3. 

Align the notched ends of the module and socket (see Figure Section 3-12). Using
equal pressure, gently press the module into the socket. Repeat for the second
module.
